Raytheon décroche un contrat de 752 M USD pour systèmes radar pour Taïwan

Le groupe américain Raytheon a décroché jeudi un contrat de 752 millions de dollars de l’armée de l’air américaine pour la livraison d’un système de surveillance radar et d’alerte précoce à Taïwan, a annoncé le groupe dans un communiqué.Le contrat sera exécuté par la division Systèmes de Défense intégré de Raytheon, a précisé le groupe.Ce système radar particulier permettra à l’armée de l’air taïwanaise de détecter et de suivre notamment des missiles balistiques de longue et courte portée, les missiles de croisière ainsi que des navires, selon le communiqué.

Raytheon Awarded $752 Million U.S. Air Force Contract for Taiwan Early Warning Radar

TEWKSBURY, Mass., June 23, 2005 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Raytheon Company (NYSE : RTN) has been awarded a not-to-exceed $752 million contract by the U.S. Air Force, Air Force Material Command, Electronic Systems Center (ESC), Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., to provide Taiwan with an Early Warning Surveillance Radar System. This system will enable the Taiwan Air Force to detect and track long- and short-range ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, air breathing targets and surface ships with "no doubt" reliability.
